Aadhaar Update Status: Track URN, SRN, or EID Online | UIDAI myAadhaar

After you submit an update—such as address, name, mobile number, date of birth, or biometric data—UIDAI provides an acknowledgment slip containing a URN (Update Request Number) or SRN (Service Request Number).
Tracking the Aadhaar Update Status ensures your new information has been reviewed, approved, and applied correctly in UIDAI’s central database.

This page explains all official ways to track update requests, why updates get rejected, and how to fix delays or failed submissions.

2️⃣ Through mAadhaar Mobile App (मोबाइल से देखें)

  1. Install the official mAadhaar app (UIDAI publisher only).
  2. Open → Services → Request Status.
  3. Enter your URN or SRN and captcha to view progress.
  4. ???? Use TOTP inside the app if SMS OTP isn’t delivered.

Tip: After an update is approved, refresh your profile in the app to pull the latest data. You can also generate VID and lock/unlock biometrics from the same app.

3️⃣ By Calling UIDAI Helpline 1947

  1. Dial 1947 (toll-free).
  2. Select “Aadhaar Update Status” from the IVR or speak to an agent.
  3. Keep your URN / SRN / EID handy.

???? Note the complaint reference number if you raise a ticket.

4️⃣ In-Person at Aadhaar Seva Kendra (ASK)

  1. Visit your nearest Aadhaar Enrolment / Update Centre.
  2. Carry the acknowledgment slip and a valid ID.
  3. The operator can check status or help re-submit if needed.

???? Find a centre via the Enrolment Centre Locator (Site) or use the Official UIDAI Locator.
