e-Aadhaar File Tips
The PDF is password-protected: FIRST 4 LETTERS of name (CAPS) + YYYY of birth (e.g., SURE1990). To reduce exposure, choose Masked Aadhaar (shows last 4 digits).
Validate Digital Signature (Windows/Mac)
Open the PDF in Adobe Acrobat Reader → Signature Panel → Validate. You should see a valid signature from UIDAI. If macOS/iOS preview warns “unsigned,” re-open in Adobe Reader and validate again.
SMS/IVR Alternatives (Offline-friendly)
If data is patchy, some requests work via SMS to 1947 or IVR. For sensitive actions, prefer the portal or the app. UIDAI Helpline 1947
After You Finish (Next Steps)
Save your SRN/URN for tracking, and revisit the Authentication History occasionally to monitor usage.
